Our Roots
Xella Winery and Vineyard is a small family farm winery located on 9 acres in Laurel Grove, Maryland. We have made Southern Maryland our home since 2007 and have put down roots (literally and figuratively) to grow with the community in wine, vines and friendships. The winery is owned and operated by Les and Erin Melanson.
Our wine
We love wine that is bold, well-balanced and clean that tells a story of where and how the grapes were grown. We believe in practices both in the vineyard and in the winery that speak to the whole of our farm here in Southern Maryland. This includes biodynamic and regenerative farming practices in the vineyard and minimal interventions in the winery.

Come visit our tasting room and vineyard on Saturdays from 12 - 5! We have wine tastings, as well as wine by the glass and bottle!
We can’t ship our wine yet, but you can order online and pickup at the winery!
